Ukraine Area 603 700 square meters. Km. With this index it occupies 41 places in the world and 2 in Europe. Our country stretches 1316 km from east to west and 893 km from north to south. The length of its borders is 6500 km.
Ukraine borders with seven countries. Our northern neighbor is Belarus, north-east - Russia. In western Ukraine borders Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. On the southwest frontier of our country from Romania and Moldova. In the south Ukraine is washed by the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
Ukraine is a unitary state. Administratively, it consists of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, 24 oblasts and two cities with special status (Kyiv and Sevastopol).
