You made a trip into the past of the city and country. Dozens, hundreds thousands, millions of people - famous and unknown - left their mark in the history of Kyiv. Memory of Kiev past centuries lived in the majestic buildings of temples, many churches, government offices and residential buildings, pavethese roads, planted parks and squares, old products Masters and more. So again we are setting out on a journey –the monuments of the capital. them in Kiev, as in every ancient and big city, very much and they are in different places of our great city. Archangel Michael in the old Kiev considered a symbol of victory of the new Christian faith over paganism. In 989, after the baptism of Kiev, was set in a wooden church in the name Archangel Michael with his image. It is this image and the arms became Kyiv.
