Recreational (from the Latin - "recovery") resources - is the natural and man-made objects and phenomena that can be used for recreation, tourism and treatment.

Recreational resources are divided into natural and recreational and cultural-historical.

- seashores, riverbanks and lakes suitable for the seaside and beach holidays;

The Convention created a committee, which approved the World Heritage List, this list is constantly updated. Making the List object attracts attention of governmental and public organizations to the problems of preserving national heritage.

Availability and use of recreational resources play an important role in economic development in many countries. In particular, European countries have a unique combination of natural and recreational, cultural and historical resources, which, together with developed transport infrastructure and good service each year attract many foreign tourists. Significant recreational resources are available to Asian countries, but political instability in many regions of the world interfere with their full use. Opportunities to develop educational and sports tourism are countries in Africa, but due to low economic development (primarily in underdeveloped transport and services) they are used very little.
